Yes. Every itbuilds app is free to download from Google Play. Some apps also offer an optional one-time Pro unlock for advanced features, but the base app is always free and never expires.

Some do, some don't. Ads are one of the ways I keep the apps free to download, but I make sure they stay out of your way and never get in the way of actually using the app.

It depends on the app. XML Viewer and JSON Viewer work fully offline - the only time you'll need a connection is to open a file directly from a link. Alfa Music and Music Player let you listen to your own downloaded music offline; streaming from Audius needs internet. ScheduleNow uses cloud storage to keep your data safe and synced, so you'll need to be online to set up your profile and use it fully.

No. XML Viewer and JSON Viewer process files entirely on your device - your files never leave your phone, with no uploads and no cloud processing, and neither app needs an account. ScheduleNow does require an account to sync your data, but only an email is needed to create one - no other personal information is collected.
